Poison is an elemental effect performed by random attacks performed by the character that deals damage over time by three-zero times, depending on elemental resistances and immunities. Exclusively, the Green Knight can cast Poison Magic attacks to deal big damage. Pipistrello's poop in Pipistrello's Cave, Industrial Machine's turret in Industrial Castle, Antlions in Desert, Medusa in Medusa's Lair, and the Evil Wizard's Red Shield form in the 2nd phase of the fight in Final Battle, all inflict Poison damage at varying degrees to the player(s).
Overview[]
A player can tell when the Poison status effect has been inflicted when a small green cloud puff spews out of the weapon. Poison is a very specialized element, as most enemies and bosses in the game are resistant to it, but it is very effective on enemies that are weak or neutral to Poison. The most notable example of this being Desert, where just using Green Knight's projectile magic on the Royal Guards (who are weak to Poison) is a very good way of keeping them away while also killing them efficiently. The most important example of resistant enemies are Skeletons, notably in Marsh. Since the majority of Skeletons resist Poison to the point where they aren't knocked back by it, and after the beefy wave the level is mostly populated by Snakeys who also resist Poison but not as much as Skeletons, Green Knight has a difficult time in Marsh compared to other characters.
Weapons with this effect modifier are incredibly small in number in comparison to Electricity and Critical Strike.
Weapons[]
Not all weapons inflict the Poison status effect. If the description of a weapon contains a green blob symbol , it indicates that the weapon is capable of inflicting it.
Enemies wielding these weapons will have the same chances of inflicting Poison.
Here is a list of weapons that grants a player the Poison status effect.

Notes[]
- If playing as Blue Knight or Iceskimo, when using these weapons for Combo Locking purposes, they are a surefire way for the enemy to retaliate with one hit, free of evasion. The only way to counteract this from happening completely is to effectively switch to a weapon that doesn't inflict the Poison status effect. The same goes for weapons with Fire and Ice effects.
