The Horn is a tool which also can be used as a weapon, given to the player after defeating the Corn Boss. It lets off a loud, foghorn-like sound that can activate secret areas and events. This tool has unlimited use. It is required to open the entrance to the Flooded Temple, making it a vital tool. The Horn can also deal melee damage to nearby enemies and send them up into the air.

Uses[]

Glitches and Exploits[]

  • There exists a save glitch in which the Horn will not be saved while in multiplayer mode. The Horn may appear to be saved after defeating the Corn Boss, but it will disappear soon after restarting the game. If the Horn has disappeared from the inventory after reloading the game, then the Corn Boss must be defeated in singleplayer mode.
  • After equipping the Horn and switching over to Insane Mode without switching items, the player can use it to open the door to Flooded Temple without passing through the Marsh or Corn Boss levels. However, the Corn Boss is a required level in both known level skipping routes, meaning the level still must be beaten on Insane Mode in order to unlock a gold skull.

Trivia[]

  • Holding up the shield before using the Horn will allow the player to block any blockable attacks. Blocking any attacks while blowing the Horn will cancel the Horn animation.
  • The player can open the locked door at the end of the Animal Ark with the Horn if they have the Key Sword in hand.
HornElectricity

An Electricity-imbued Horn attack.

  • Blowing the Horn at an enemy deals melee damage equal to the player's light attack damage. If holding any weapons with elemental effects or Critical Strike chances, these effects can also apply to the Horn.
  • After activating the Horn but before the sound is actually made, the pitch can be changed by holding down an arrow key, or by moving the control stick in different directions.
    • When sending an enemy flying with the Horn, the height and direction of the impact are also affected.
