  1. The Plot Line, or storyline of the game Castle Crashers is very simplistic and easy to understand. It includes the capture of the King's four daughters, his magic Crystal, and the fact his four most loyal knights having to fight for them back. It goes like this:

Beware: Plot/Storyline spoilers follow.

A Wars Beginnings[]

Some of the King's Gray Knights, a few Peasants and the player(s) are celebrating in the Barracks in the Home Castle level (the player(s) is/are meant to be the four knights, but they could really be 1-4 of any of the 31 playable characters). The party is brought to a halt when a dead Gray Knight comes flying into the room from the door. The player(s) run(s) through the door just in time to see the Evil Wizard stealing the

Wizard&Crystal

Hey!

Crystal from the defenseless King. The Crystal turns red after being taken over by evil magic and the Evil Wizard flies away. The King orders the player(s) to chase him, but The player(s) is/are held back by an army of Barbarians. However, they just barely manage to see the King's four daughters, the Princesses, being stolen (The Orange Princess's face not being visible as a weak Barbarian was carrying her and her face was dragged face-down across the floor. This is a running gag in the game, her face rarely visible.)

The Red Princess[]

After fighting through tons of Barbarians the player(s) arrive(s) at the Barbarian Boss level to see the four Princesses tied up and a massive Barbarian Guarding them. The Husky Barbarian is let into the arena and the player(s) fight(s) against him for the princesses. After a decent amount of time has passed the Blue, Green and Orange Princesses are taken from the arena, leaving the player(s) to save the Red Princess. Upon the defeat, a Boss Chest falls onto the beast, crushing him. After breaking open the chest and collecting the money inside, the player frees the Red Princess and earns her kiss.

Debacle at the Dock[]

Continuing the chase of the Evil Wizard and the King's Crystal, the players arrive at a river, separating the two islands of The Overworld. The only way of crossing the river is to use a boat to cross it, however the ship to the other side is lacking in three Relics: the Compass, the Telescope and the Ship's Wheel which ensure safe travel, meaning the player(s) must make a significant detour from chasing the Evil wizard, however there are benefits, as this puts them on the direct path to saving the Green, blue and Orange Princesses. The first Relic, the Compass, is also found in the Blacksmith level, just outside of the Animal Ark. the other two remain unfound.

The Detours Beginning[]

When the player(s) enter(s) the Forest Entrance level the player(s) see(s) the Industrial Prince paying a Beefy Thief for the Orange Princess, and then when the player(s) enter(s) the Forest level The Green and Blue Princesses, still restrained, are seen being taken deeper into the forest by a pair of Thieves. The player chases them, and after battling through several foes and even a few bosses, the player catches up with the Thieves in the Tall Grass Field level to see the Blue Princess being given to the Frost King, who blasts himself up and flies to his castle, on the other island, while The Green Princess is given to the Cyclops, who went to the Groom to give him the Green Princess. Still searching for the relics and the princesses, the players goes to the Industrial Castle and Wedding Crash levels. At the outside of the Industrial Castle the Orange Princess can be seen crying inside the Industrial Castle with the Industrial Prince holding her captive. The Industrial Prince taunts the player, revealing you need to be much stronger to break the door leading inside.

A Wedding Crashed[]

When the Wedding Crash level is reached the player(s) fall(s) onto a large cake which is surrounded by an army of Coneheads, one of which is the Groom, who is holding the hand of The Green Princess. The Groom, upon seeing the player(s), runs from the scene. After fighting through an army of

Any objections?

Coneheads the player(s) catch(es) up with The Groom just in time to stop the marriage. The Groom had seen this coming and prepared himself for combat, wielding a sword and converting the organ into a series of cannons, readying himself to kill any objectors. Despite this, the player(s) manage(s) to succeed, killing The Groom. However, the player does not get time to rescue or kiss The Green Princess as the cyclops, who had previously been hiding, takes both The Green Princess and the dead body of The Groom, burst out of the elevator doors and used the wedding's celebratory parade to make a getaway to his fortress. To chase him the player(s) use(s) The Groom's organ cannon to blast themselves onto the parade cart where an army of Coneheads and Thieves attack the intruder(s).

The Green Princess[]

The parade cart enters the Cyclops' Cave, however the roof is not high enough to fit the cart through, meaning that the player(s) end up knocked off of the parade cart and must follow The Cyclops on foot from then on, all the way to The Cyclops' Fortress where a funeral service for The Groom is taking place, the groom being cremated. After the player(s) disturb(s) the funeral, The Cyclops becomes upset and attacks the player(s). The Cyclops is defeated in combat, and while he does not initially perish he eventually tumbles into a lava pit, dying instantly. The player(s) then free(s) the Green Princess and earns her kiss. The player leaves The Cyclops' Fortress.

The Industrial Castle[]

After the player(s) finally break down the door, the Industrial Prince runs back into his castle and enters his Industrial Machine, taking the Orange Princess with him. After fighting through the Industrial Prince's army of Industrialist, Fencers and even his singular Beefy Brute, the player(s) arrive(s) at the Industrial Machine. After the player(s) destroy(s) the machine the Industrial Prince takes the Orange Princess to the balcony where the Evil Wizard is standing atop the King's Crystal. He tries to jump on the Crystal with him but the Evil Wizard knocks him off, shocking him with his Practice Foil for failing to kill the player(s), leaving the Industrial Prince to the player's/players' wrath. After either knocking the prince off the balcony and killing him or leaving him be, the player(s) take(s) the second Relic, the Telescope, and sees the Blue Princess on the balcony of the Ice Castle, her now seeing the player(s) and feeling a rush of hope, but then being taken deeper into the Ice Castle by the Frost King.

The Volcano, The Dragon and A Sock Puppet[]

The player(s) get(s) mobbed by an army of Fire Demons, all of whom were protecting The Volcano, but they ended up being of no use as the player(s) defeat(s) them all and reaches a boss fight with The Volcano, however, even after the Volcano is killed, the Fire Demons continue to battle on, further harassing the player(s). Luckily, the Fire Demons ended up helping the player, as The Volcano is immune to normal attacks, meaning the player(s) must be beefy to damage him, meaning the player(s) need to eat a few Sandwiches to defeat The Volcano and the only way of gaining Sandwiches in the

boss fight was to defeat a Fire Demon, each dropping a Sandwich. After battling more Fire Demons and some Skeletons that were resurrected by The Necromancer, the player(s) catch(es) sight of the third Relic, The Ship's Wheel, at the top of a mountain but, upon trying to climb the mountain, a steel door comes crashing down, blocking the way to the Ship's Wheel as The Dragon and Sock Puppet boss rises from behind the mountain, head-butting, breathing fire, biting and throwing boulders at the player(s) as the player(s) fight for their lives. The dragon is eventually slain and the player(s) collects the Ship's Wheel. However, the Necromancer is seen reviving the Cyclops and Groom, The Cyclops now possessing robotic and mechanical traits and the Groom zombified, unrecognizable and a slave to the will of the Cyborg.

Ninjas by the Seashore[]

Upon giving the sailors the three Relics, the ship is ready to set sail and chase after The Evil Wizard and remaining Princesses, but the player(s) end(s) up ambushed by an army of Ninjas that appear to be motivated by profit. The Ninjas fail and the player(s) reach the Desert, the level opposite the dock, safely.

E.T. (Easily Terminated)[]

The pirate ship lands in the Desert and the player(s) exit(s) and continue(s) their quest for The King's Crystal and The Orange Princess. the route to the Wizard's Castle is hidden, though, so the player(s) needs the Map to guide them there and on the route to the map the player(s) are attacked by many Saracens, Royal Guards, Antlions and Scarabs. After battling through the army of enemies the

AlienShip(Boss)

player(s) encounter The Alien Ship which drops Alien Hominids and massive stones to attack the player(s). After being defeated the ship retreats, only for the player(s) to encounter another identical ship and take care of it. The player(s) defeat the ship only to be abducted by the Mothership, leading into a new level. The player(s) are/is placed in a holding chamber which is destroyed by the player(s) destruction of the mini control panel. After the Alien Hominids notice the intruder(s) they set off the red alarm summoning almost all other onboard Aliens. They were easily defeated due to lack of defense, dying to even the weakest attacks, and after defeating the Alien Hominids the player(s) tries to proceed but they end up blocked off by the Alien Prisoner's holding cell. the player(s) had to destroy another mini control panel, clearing the way for the player(s) and freeing the Alien Prisoner who ejected himself from the ship and set off the ship's self destruct mechanism, giving the player(s) only minute to exit the ship, and even though they were held back from doing so by a few Alien Hominids the player(s) still managed to exit the ship just in time.

The Sand Castle[]

The player(s) continue the search for the Map in the Sand Castle Interior, however all the player(s) find(s) is Beefy Saracen, 5 regular Saracens and 2 Beefy Royal Guards so the player(s) continues the search for the Map on the Sand Castle Roof where they are attacked by more Saracens and Royal Guards. After defeating all the enemies the player(s) come(s) across a volleyball pitch with the player(s) on one side and three regular Saracens and a Beefy Saracen on the other, a volleyball in the center. The Saracens challenge the player(s) to a volleyball match (first to 10 points), and after the player(s) win(s) the volleyball match a Saracen awards the player(s) the Map which shows the way to The Flooded Temple.

Not-So-Sweet Corn[]

The player(s) then use(s) their map to reach The Flooded Temple, which blocks the way to The Medusas Lair level. The temple's door has a picture of a Horn which leads the player(s) to believe that the only way to open the temple's door is to blow the Horn while in front of the Flooded Temple's gates, so the player(s) go(es) off to search for it in the Marsh, where the Necromancer had previously resurrected all the corpses he could find, leaving them as Skeletons. The Marsh is also inhabited by a tribe of Snakeys, who do everything in their power to protect their territory. The player(s)

End(s) up befriended a pair of Peasants and a Beefy Civilian to help them midway through their journey, and after battling the enemies, the player(s) arrive(s) at field of corn, and when they enter the field, the Peasants follow; however, the Beefy Civilian decides to stay on his home turf, leaving the group of protagonists to enter the Corn Boss level without him. Upon entering the Corn Boss level, the player(s) see the Killer Corn boss who is eager to destroy the player(s) and the Peasants. The crasher(s) wage(s) a battle against the vicious vegetable and eventually reduce him to a bare cob, killing him and letting them enter the barn that he was blocking, where one of the Peasants finds the horn, bestowing it upon the player.

Eye of the Snakey[]

The player(s) return(s) to the Flooded Temple and blow the Horn, opening the door and allowing the player(s) to continue chasing the Evil Wizard and the Blue and Orange Princesses. After progressing through the temple and defeating a variety of dangerous fish monsters, Medusas Lair is reached, the player(s) course through wave after wave of Snakeys and the Fish, eventually seeing and fighting a vain-obsessed medusa and killing her, finally unlocking the way to the Full Moon level. the player(s) while there is/are ambushed by many waves of Stove Faces, Beefy Stove Faces and Iceskimos while boulders roll down the mountain, crushing both heroes and villains as the moon is finally left.

The Blue Princess[]

After completing the Full Moon level the player(s) come(s) across the Snow World level where an army of Iceskimos attempt to thwart the player(s) by engaging in mortal combat and throwing deadly snowballs. Eventually the player(s) reach(es) the entrance to the Ice Castle where the Frost King had taken the Blue Princess after she had been kidnapped. The Ice Castle has been filled with traps, most of which are icicles designed to fall from the roof and crush the player(s). After dodging icicles, jumping over ice waves, shielding from arrows and battling a selection of Iceskimos the player(s) finally reach(es) the Frost King. The boss uses illusions and his power over ice as distractions and weapons to try and kill the player(s), but they push through and the player(s) defeat(s) the Frost King, free the Blue Princess and gain her kiss, leaving the Orange Princess and the King's Crystal as the only things left to fight for.

An Unlikely Trio[]

After finally reaching the Wizard's Castle the player(s) see(s) the Painter, the Cyclops II, the Necromancer and the Evil Wizard standing just outside the entrance to the Wizard's Castle, but before the player(s) can fight for the Princess and the Crystal the castle takes off and flies up into the sky, the player(s) chasing them through the air.

It must have been something I ate!

On the way up the player(s) has/have to dodge falling boulders, and when the player(s) reach(es) the castle a second time they are battled by an army of Cult Minions. After defeating them the player(s) go(es) forward(s), seeing four doors, three of which are blocked off by a purple forcefield. The player(s) enter the only unguarded forcefield to meet the Painter, who has painted a series of paintings which come to life and attack the player(s). After the Painter creates his pieces he uses a lift to climb out of sight, but comes back down after the player(s) defeat(s) the paintings. After the player(s) lower(s) the Painter's health a significant amount he begins to run around the arena shouting and summoning tons of live paintings. The Painter is then defeated, spewing out healing items and food. The player(s) then go(es) on to destroy the Painter's purple crystal, which destroys the purple forcefield blocking off the second door. After entering the second doorway the player(s) arrive(s) at a battle with the Cyclops II, the Cyclops II bashing the player(s) with the Groom's coffin, throwing daggers at the player(s), and even shooting fireballs at the them, occasionally letting the Undead Groom out of his coffin. After defeating the Cyclops II the Cyclops' and the Groom's ghost float up to heaven and outside of their dead bodies and the player(s) go(es) on to destroy their purple crystal which, like the last one, demolishes the purple forcefield which was blocking the door to the third room. After entering

Necromancer wings

the player(s) see(s) a room full of dead bodies, enemies from across the entire game scattered across the floor. The Necromancer notices the player(s) and brings many of the enemies back to life, letting them attack the player(s). After several waves of revived corpses are defeated the Necromancer duels the protagonist(s) personally, The Necromancer eventually being defeated and the player(s) left to destroy his purple crystal, breaking the final forcefield and opening up the last door.

The Final Battle[]

After walking through the fourth door the player(s) reach a platform made of black crystals, which rises to the Final Battle level. To begin, The wizard summons four small crystals, which in turn spin and attack the player(s). After these are destroyed, though, the battle really begins. The evil Wizard then jumps down, protected by an alternating forcefield which negates either magic or melee, depending on its color, him only hurt by the other. Once the forcefield is destroyed he panics, turning into a balloon and flying into the air, out of the way of most attacks but still in

Evil Wizard

range of aerials, meaning he is eventually defeated. A boss chest falls on top of him, just as it did on all past bosses, however when opened the Evil Wizard, now in a massive lovecraftian form, emerges, now summoning further cult minions. After this phase is defeated another begins, him a balloon again, and after this finishes his true final form begins, he summoning the Demon Sword and challenging the player(s) to one final duel. After a grueling final battle the wizard's final form is defeated, leaving him to drop the Demon Sword for the player(s) to pick up and the crystal returning to its usual white color, the entire stage collapsing in on itself. The player(s) land(s) on the crystal, catches the Orange Princess and the Crystal floats back to the Home Castle, guided the player to the barracks one final time.

The… Orange Princess?![]

When the player(s), the Crystal and the Orange Princess finally return to the castle, the Orange Princess is taken into the room, face covered by a veil, while enemies, allies, and creatures of all sorts from across the game party and dance in the room.

The Orange Princess now awaits her kiss. However, When the player/the winning player of the maiden duel leans in to kiss the Orange Princess she is revealed to be a clown, a massive Afro bursting out and her dancing, the crowds cheering and partying till all fades to white. The End.

A Summary[]

In short, the Evil Wizard captures the Kings Crystal and the four Princess, leading to the four great knights venturing out to save them. The knights fight through a barbarian war and save the red princess, but find half the world locked behind the necessity for three relics and the princesses being taken away by thieves. They chase through the forest, seeing the Orange Princess sold to the industrial prince, and after fighting through waves of trolls and thieves, just narrowly escaping a giant troll, they reach a river where they fight a massive catfish. Then, after progressing through a field, where the other two princesses are seen being sold, and a cave where a large bat is defeated, the king, his forces and the great knights progress into a castle, killing a conehead groom and just barely failing to save the Green Princess who is taken away by The Cyclops. The Great Knights then chasing him through a parade, killing a giant troll, assumably killing the cyclops and finally saving the Green Princess. The Great Knights then progress through Lava World and Industrial Castle, finding all the relics they need and sailing to the other island. Here they land in a desert, fight aliens, find a shovel, beat up royal guards and finally win a volleyball game, earning them a map and letting them reach the marsh, where they kill a Corn Boss and get a horn, which they use to enter the flooded temple and kill Medusa. They then fight Iceskimos in Snow World, kill the Frost King, saving the Blue Princess, and reaching the Wizard Castle. They kill a Painter, the Cyclops a second time, The Necromancer, finally killing the Evil Wizard and ending up saving the Orange Princess… who was a clown all along!
