Downloadable Content refers to extra content not currently included with the game and is available for download from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PlayStation Network, and Steam. So far, five downloadable packs have been released, the King Pack, Necromantic Pack, Pink Knight Pack, Legend of the Blacksmith Pack, and lastly, the Can't Stop Crying Pack. An upcoming DLC titled Painter Boss Paradise is planned for release.

The PS3/PC versions of Castle Crashers are packaged with all of the content from the Necromantic and King Packs; available in Insane Mode.

The Xbox One/PS4/Switch versions of Castle Crashers Remastered are packaged with the five DLC packs released prior to Painter Boss Paradise, with Pink Knight and Blacksmith as starting characters.

King Pack[]

The King Pack was released on January 14, 2009. It contained two characters, one animal orb, and three weapons.

Can't Stop Crying Pack[]

The Can't Stop Crying Pack was a content pack that was obtained by earning one achievement in Battleblock Theater on XBLA, another game by The Behemoth. It could be obtained on Steam by just purchasing Battleblock Theater, and on PS3 for 1.99. For Xbox One, PS4, and Switch, he is bought in the Insane Store.
